The event is hosted by WKKJ and will include prizes and entertainment during its duration. Children are free to attend with a ticketed parent. Proceeds go toward next year's fireworks display. Participants will exit the pool around p. Around p. Often, community members chose to view the fireworks from the floodwall but by watching them in the park, residents are able to enjoy the corresponding music to the display created by WKKJ. The display will last around 15 to 20 minutes.
As a result, community organizations have partnered together to provide more opportunities throughout the day. This year, First Capital will be collaborating with the city and others to start the first annual fireworks watch party.
The event will begin at 5 p. The fireworks watch party will feature food, beer, music and other entertainment throughout the evening. Part of the event will also include a jeep invasion hosted by Ohio Jeep Fest ahead of their opening weekend. Once the vehicles are parked, community members are invited to view the cars on the street. As always, no alcohol is to be consumed in Yoctangee Park.
We also discourage the public from setting off explosive fireworks in neighborhoods as it disturbs animals and residents alike.
Ohio revised code section covering fireworks are The Chillicothe Fire Department has also asked fireworks viewers to stay out of restricted areas, this includes the waterway behind the city park annex, which will be patrolled.
