Any WiFi shield manufacturer who made a shield you couldn't use would be quickly out of business. That's not been my experience.

I've found that most shields have components on them that are too tall, or have connectors or other important things on them like antennas or displays that are blocked if another shield is on top. Also very few shields have jumpers for pin selection to prevent pins from different shields being connected together inappropriately. Sounds like bad luck, and very bad planning. If you want to put a shield on top of a display shield, I guess you deserve all the grief you are sure to get - part of that being finding a display with female headers..

And I suspect that those shields that need jumpers usually have them. Some have quite a lot. If you are short of height, you can always get a set of headers and, if you are seriously short of height, you can get headers with seriously long pins. This Shield is perfect for any It can read and write tags so, it is perfect to use for RFID-tag projects. With this Shield it is possible to reduce the complexity of the camera control interface. It uses I2C interface for the sensor configuration and SPI interface for camera commands and data stream.

The shield includes a SD car slot. This Shield is a well-equipped network processing unit that can simplify the network connecting process. Are you thinking about ordering one of theses Shields listed above? Or are you thinking about doing a project with one of these? Arduino Step-by-Step Projects » Build 25 Arduino projects with our course, even with no prior experience! Hi Rui, I thought I would look at this email from you as I had nothing to do for 5 minutes.

I am so glad I did… I have ordered two prototype shields — they will do just great for a project I am doing right now. Thank you for taking the time time to compile this list as it was very interesting, I had no idea they made some of these boards.

Thanks very much. Hi Rui, Thanks for this list and all other informations you give. This list is really useful. You might find this useful: gitbook. Thanks for sharing this helpful list! Thanks Rui can i directly connect the ethernet cable to arduino without router to control server from any where? The Ethernet cable is connected to your router.

Then you need to configure your router and do port forwarding to make your web server accessible from anywhere. The 1Sheeld is just awesome. We made a list with the top 10 most useful Arduino shields , and the 1Sheeld is included. The Motor shield enables your Arduino to drive motors such as DC and stepper motors, alongside relays and solenoids. Motor shields come in different configurations and capacities. You can choose between shields that support the driving of a single motor or expand your needs by purchasing a shield that drives multiple motors.

With the LCD shield, you can make decisions such as searching through menus, navigating up, down, left, or right. Thus, making it easy for Arduino users to communicate with projects. The LCD shield can also enable the control of backlights and other features of your project. The shield also enables you to make voice calls using your Arduino board. This shield is one many who intend to create IoT projects using Arduino usually turn to.

The smoke detector shield enables the use of smoke detector sensors with your Arduino board. The shield generally consumes less energy or power relative to other shields. The average joystick Shield sits on top of your Arduino board turning it into a controller.

You can choose to use the joystick for gaming purposes or to control your robotics projects. This shield is a kit and to use it some knowledge of soldering is required. The memory spaces attached to Arduino boards are notoriously limited in capacity and a MicroSD Shield provides you with the option of expanding it. Once added, you have equipped your Arduino board with data logging capacity and other uses.

Spark Fun is known for its shields and the creativity they bring to Arduino projects. The Xbee Shield adds wireless capabilities to your board through the Xbee radios. Once used, your Arduino board will be equipped with Xbee wireless modules. Touchpad shields provide support for building or integrating a responsive touch interface into your Arduino projects.
